PBIO 4181J - Writing for Biologists
Current topics in the scientific literature and public controversy around issues in biology provide students with opportunities to learn the skills needed for successful writing as a biologist. No credit toward major.

Learning Outcomes:
- Be able to tailor writings for different audiences ranging from the scientific community to the general public.
- Be able to use correct grammar, punctuation, transitions, and other mechanics in their writing.
- Learn to retrieve, critically evaluate and synthesize scientific information from a variety of sources including the primary literature.
- Learn to review and edit his/her own work and the work of others.
