MDIA 2701 - Visual Storytelling
This course explores the use of color, line, shape, space, movement and visual rhythm to visualize and emphasize narrative stories as they move from script to screen. Students consider the ways in which these elements provide a more complex understanding of the overall narrative.

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to interpret the role of visual storytelling in an historical and evolving culture of moving image arts.
- Students will be able to analyze and assess decisions made by directors, set designers, cinematographers, animators, game designers, and producers to manipulate visual storytelling techniques and enhance production.
- Students will be able to identify and explain how color, line, shape, space, movement, and visual rhythm are used as visual motifs within narrative media arts.
- Students will be able to compose imagery to creatively support a media production plan.
