Overview
The Department of Engineering Technology and Management has a long and rich history of preparing graduates for careers in business and industry. Common starting job titles include: manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, process engineer, applications engineer, systems engineer, sales engineer, production manager, project managers, and operations manager.
Accredited by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering, the B.S. in Engineering Technology and Management combines technical content with courses in General Education, quantitative sciences, natural sciences, and business management, to prepare graduates for technical-management positions in manufacturing organizations.
In addition, all students complete a minor in business administration, and a certificate (1 additional course) in lean Six-Sigma, and many opt to take the certificate (5 courses) in Project Management; these credentials have proved to be a tremendous asset in both getting the job and advancing within the organization.
