Joining or leaving an opt-in Catmail distribution group

Description

Catmail includes opt-in email distribution groups that you can join or leave at will. 

Environment

PC, Mac, Android, iOS, web browser

Join a group 

1. Log into the Outlook web application (​​​​​OWA)  at https://catmail.ohio.edu

2. Select the gear icon, then select View all Outlook Settings

3. Select the General tab, then select Distribution groups

4. Select the Joinbutton with a "+" 

5. Search for the distribution group you want to join and double-click it  

6. Select Join

Outcome: You should now be a member of the selected distribution group. 

Leave a group

NOTE:This process only works for opt-in groups in Catmail. You cannot leave an automatically generated group like "All Students" or "All Employees."

1. Log into Outlook web application (​​​​​OWA)  at https://catmail.ohio.edu

2. Select the gear icon, then select View all Outlook Settings

3. Select the General tab, then select Distribution groups

4. In the "Distribution groups I belong to" section, scroll through the list of groups you belong to, double-click the group you wish to leave, and select  Leave.

Outcome: You should now be removed from the selected distribution group.
