Description

The XMediusFAX app allows select Xerox multi-function devices to send and receive printed faxes. XMediusFAX is a specialized service for departments that require high-volume fax printing capabilities. OHIO offers a  free virtual fax service  that is the most economical and sustainable way to send and receive faxes for many faculty and staff that should be considered before using XMediusFAX.

Solution 

Sending a fax

  1. Place your sheet(s) face up in your Xerox machine's document feeder.

  2. Select the  XMediusFAX app on your Xerox's touch screen.  Select XMediusFax

  3. Select the  Fax Number field. Type the destination fax number using the on-screen number pad and press  Enter.  

    • Note: External numbers require 9 and 1 prior to the area code.  Select the fax number

  4. Once you press enter, the destination number should appear in the field. 

  5. Press  > to add the number to the  Recipient List Once the destination appears, select the less than symbol to add the number.

  6. Press  Send.

Printing an incoming fax

  1. Select the  XMediusFAX app on your Xerox's touch screen.  Select the XMediusFax app

  2. Select the  Clock icon Select the clock icon in the upper right corner.

  3. Choose  Fax received Fax received selected

  4. Choose  Print next to the fax you want to print.  Select print next to the fax you want to print.

Outcome:You should now be able to send an outgoing fax and print an incoming fax on a departmental printer or copier.
