Access

  • To download free copies of AutoDesk products for academic use, create an account at AutoDesk Education and choose the products you need.

  • A subscription is good for three years.

Who can access

  • Academic use: Free for faculty, staff, and students

  • Administrative use: For administrative offices (Space Planning, Design and Construction, etc.), there is a license charge and annual renewal fee. Visit the  Technology Help Center  to submit a ticket for information about non-academic licensing and pricing. 

How to request access

To purchase a license for non-academic use, visit the Technology Help Center to submit a ticket with the following information:

  • OHIO ID

  • Number of licenses needed

  • Purpose (e.g. facilities planning, architectural design, space planning, etc.)

  • Draft, annotate, and design 2D geometry and 3D models with solids, surfaces, and mesh objects

  • Automate tasks such as comparing drawings, adding blocks, creating schedules, and more

  • Customize with add-on apps and APIs
