Description

Microsoft Defender Antivirus, also known as Microsoft Defender for Enterprise and Microsoft Defender for Mac, provides comprehensive virus and malware protection for Windows and Mac computers.

Access

Centrally-managed devices

Microsoft Defender will be installed automatically on centrally managed Windows and Mac computers running a version of macOS compliant with OHIO’s Information Security Standards .

Unmanaged devices

Compliance with OHIO’s Information Security Standards requires having an antivirus product installed on unmanaged and personally-owned computers when connecting to certain university resources.
