Windows 10 is a Microsoft Operating System (OS) for computers, tablets, and the Internet of Things (IoT) devices. It is the foundational software which other Microsoft applications like, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, operate on.
Access
Faculty and staff: Centrally-managed devices
Follow the directions for installing software on Windows computers
for OIT-Managed devices and search for Windows 10 Upgrade.
Faculty and staff: Unmanaged devices
To install Windows 10 on an unmanaged computer, you will need to download an .iso file to create a DVD or disk image:
Note: Please ensure your software is up to date. OHIO IT supports the most recent version and one previous version of a software program.
For unmanaged University owned devices you will need to complete the Information Security Exception form as listed on the Information Security Standards
site. The exception process requires approval from an individual in your planning unit that has authorization to accept risk on behalf of the planning unit.
