All undergraduate students interested in learning more about Ohio University’s academic majors, minors and certificates are invited to participate in the annual Majors Fair. University College will host a Virtual Majors Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, via Teams. Students can RSVP for the event at https://www.ohio.edu/university-college/majors-fair .
At the Majors Fair, students can investigate the more than 250 majors offered at OHIO and learn about minors and certificates. Academic advisors and program faculty from most of the programs will provide information and answer any questions the students might have.
“The Majors Fair helps support students in their exploration process,” said University College Assistant Dean for Advising and Student Services Kris Kumfer. “We want all OHIO students to find the major that gets them excited to learn while preparing them for the career they want. Our amazing faculty and staff are eager to help students explore their options, develop plans and progress toward their goals.”
Current students, as well as students relocating from one of the regional campuses to the Athens campus, are encouraged to attend the Virtual Majors Fair.
“Although we are disappointed we are not able to host an in-person event this year, we look forward to welcoming students virtually who are exploring possible majors and other academic opportunities at OHIO,” said University College Assistant Director for Advising and Student Services Cristy Null. She encouraged students to prepare for Majors Fair by thinking about their strengths, skills and interests in addition to preparing questions that they may have about majors that interest them.
