Ohio University Transportation and Parking Services (TPS) will join public transportation systems across the state of Ohio on Friday, Feb. 10 to celebrate Ohio Loves Transit Day.
Participating transit agencies will showcase how their systems enhance mobility around their communities and help facilitate regional transit access for riders.
TPS in conjunction with Athens Public Transit (APT) and GoBus will be taking part in several events to help spread awareness of public and campus transit opportunities.
The sixth annual Ohio Loves Transit Day activities on Feb. 10 will include:
- TPS will offer rider appreciation giveaways on the Athens campus CATS Daily Shuttles, CATS Late Night Evening and Weekend Shuttles, and CATCAB Paratransit services at various times through the day.
- Free fare day for the public on APT and Hocking Transit. The University community is reminded that Ohio University’s Bobcat Pass partnership allows students, faculty, and staff to ride APT routes fare free every day using their Ohio ID card.
- GoBus rides booked between Feb. 5-11 will receive 23 percent off with the code GoBusOhio
Ohio Loves Transit Day is part of the Ohio Public Transit Association , Ohio Love’s Transit Week (February 5-11) which celebrates the role transit systems play in keeping communities moving.
