College of Arts & Sciences Alumni

The first Ohio University alumni studied Latin, Greek, rhetoric, English grammar, geography, logic philosophy, literature, classics, astronomy, and various branches of mathematics, all of which still are offered in the College of Arts & Sciences — more than 200 years later.

Today the College of Arts and Sciences graduates nearly 1,500 new alumni each year, and the College is at the center of Ohio University's transformative learning experience. More than one quarter of the University's undergraduate majors are in the College, and all undergraduate students at OHIO — no matter their programs or majors — take courses in College of Arts & Sciences.

  • Spring Literary Festival


    Since 1986, the Spring Literary Festival has featured some of the world's finest, most distinguished writers of poetry, fiction and non-fiction. The three-day festival is held in April on the Ohio University main campus in Athens, OH.
