Bobcat Student Orientation

This summer Bobcat Student Orientation will include virtual and in-person events and options for students and their families.
The orientation experience has been expanded to include three phases. Phase 1 includes pre-orientation modules that will be released to students in May. The live event in June with an option of attending virtually or in-person is the second phase. Programs have been shortened to one day to help ensure the safety of participants with regard to COVID-19 protocols. Finally, Phase 3 will take place in July as a post-orientation module experience.

Students accepted into CHSP’s nationally recognized Athletic Training program — and alumni, too — might be surprised to learn that the program as we know it today simply didn’t exist until Charles H. “Skip” Vosler came to Ohio University in 1971. What’s not surprising is that Vosler will be honored in June as one of the newest members of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Hall of Fame.
New Master of Science in Athletic Training program accepting applications

As Bachelor of Athletic Training programs phase out across the nation in favor of a graduate degree program, Ohio University is ahead of the curve and is currently accepting students to the new Master of Science in Athletic Training program in the College of Health Sciences and Professions (CHSP).
