Lynda D Johnson, Psy. D. is a licensed psychologist in both Ohio and Maine. She received an M.S. in Health Psychology from the University of New England and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School. She has worked in residence life, university counseling and primary care. She completed her internship in university counseling at the University of Wyoming in Laramie and her post-doctoral training in primary care through Acadia Hospital in rural Maine. She has additional training and experience as a life coach and academic coach.
She enjoys working with the students from a strengths-oriented perspective while maintaining unconditional positive regard. She has experience providing individual, couple, family and group therapy. She has worked with a wide range of issues to include anxiety, depression, learning styles, academic problems, body image and eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma and issues of diversity. Throughout her career she has had a passion for promoting wellness. She works collaboratively identifying and building upon strengths, connecting to values and developing tools and strategies to help clients achieve their highest and best potential.
In her personal life, she enjoys spending time outdoors biking, hiking and gardening. She teaches spin classes and enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family and friends.
