
Kalli is no stranger to Athens as a graduate of Ohio University’s Bachelor of Social Work program. She is currently in the advanced standing Master of Social Work Program here at Ohio University. Prior to SAP, Kalli was an intern for The Laurels of Athens, where she was able to help others navigate big life transitions.
Kalli has special interests in Appalachia and rural areas. She received her Appalachian Studies Certificate and Wealth & Poverty Certificate during her undergraduate career. She has worked on a research project regarding Community Food Initiatives that was presented at the Appalachian Collegiate Research Initiative in Washington, D.C. These interests have expanded Kalli’s understanding of the biopsychosocial framework and how it can be applied to clients. Kalli has a deep connection to working with survivors and helping them navigate challenges and barriers.
Outside of the office you can find Kalli, hanging out with her two cats, Daisy and Marshall Lee, or spending time with her friends. She loves being active whether it is yoga, running, hiking, paddleboarding, or walking. You may also catch her playing an occasional game of ultimate frisbee. Kalli enjoys a variety of music from Taylor Swift to Twenty-One Pilots, to Childish Gambino.
