Award Guidelines

Nominations:
Nominations may be submitted by faculty, staff, or students. Self-nominations are welcome.

Timeline:
Nominations for the CHSP Staff Excellence Recognition will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. To be considered for a given month's recognition, nominations must be submitted no later than 11:59 pm on the last day of the month. The review committee will evaluate submissions promptly, and awardees will be announced and recognized by the 15th of the following month. Monthly honorees will automatically be considered for the annual award.

Basic requirements for a Nomination:
Please use 11-point, Arial font.

Each nomination must include:
- Nominee Information: Name, department, and position title
- Nomination Statement: A brief (250-500-word) description highlighting how the nominee embodies professionalism, innovation, collaboration, and/or impact by serving as a role model who inspires colleagues, fosters a positive work environment, and makes meaningful contributions to CHSP and the communities it serves.
- Evidence of Impact: A minimum of two concrete examples illustrating the nominee's contributions and achievements (e.g., successful projects, process improvements, community engagement, or feedback from peers, students, or supervisors).
- Nominator Information: Name, role, and relationship to the nominee.

Review Committee:
The CHSP Associate Deans will serve as the review and award selection committee. If one of the committee members is a nominee, they will be excluded from the review/selection for that month.

The CHSP Associate Deans will review award submissions, select the recipient, and advise the CHSP Dean of their selection. If the Associate Deans do not reach a consensus, they will forward the names of potential recipients to the Dean, who will make the final decision.
