The online Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) degree from Ohio University includes 11 courses for a total of 40 credits. You will also complete clinical practicum experiences in a primary care setting for a minimum of 750 direct care hours. This program is designed to be completed in six semesters on a part-time schedule.
Our curriculum is designed to help you build the specialized skill set you need to provide advanced practice primary care for patients across the lifespan. This CCNE-accredited program trains you to use advanced assessment and diagnostic skills to develop treatment plans through both didactic and clinical performance coursework.
When you finish the program, you will be prepared to pursue certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from either the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
