The Ohio University Innovation Center (IC) announces the addition of iReconCars, LLC, to its incubator program. Co-founded by Mike Boyd, CEO, and Micah Tindor, COO, the company has developed a platform that automates the used car reconditioning process for automotive dealerships.

With more than 22 years of experience in the automotive industry, Boyd built the platform from an insider’s perspective and with consideration for all three parties involved in the reconditioning process — dealers, consumers and the vendors who perform the reconditioning work. The company’s goal is to make the buying and selling of new and used cars easier, safer and more affordable for everyone involved.

“iReconCars has made tremendous progress and shown remarkable capacity for growth in recent months. We are excited to support the company in its continued development,” said IC director Stacy Strauss.

iReconCars maintains an office in Columbus, where it receives ongoing support from Rev1 Ventures, part of the state’s Entrepreneurial Services Provider program. Having a second office at the IC gives the growing company access to additional resources to maximize its ability to serve its expanding list of customers.

The IC currently is home to eight technology startup companies in the areas of life sciences and biotechnology, software and other products, as well as five anchor tenants. The center also supports two clients that participate as virtual members, an option for startups that do not require office space but want the benefit of the incubator’s coaching, networking and physical amenities.
