Assistance / Functions of the Grant Development Team
- Assist with proposal submission strategies (agency identification, deadlines, follow-up)
- Coordinate development of proposals among Russ College faculty, staff, and external entities
- Prepare proposal development timelines (section completion deadlines)
- Assist with identifying potential collaborators
- Narrative composition: assist with development of non-technical proposal sections and supplementary documents
- Interpretation of university and sponsor guidelines to ensure compliance
- Electronic proposal formatting
- Budget development, budget revisions, and budget narrative (justification) development
- Completion of all required submission forms
- Copy editing (proposals and reports)
- Proofreading (proposals and reports)
- Develop and conduct proposal development workshops
- Serve as a liaison with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and other university departments

Subcontractor/Subawardee Information
If you have included a subcontract or subaward from Ohio University to another institution in your project, Ohio University requires a signed letter of participation from their Research Office, or the equivalent. This form must be signed by the authorized institutional official, not the subcontractor/ subawardee Principal Investigator (PI).
