Costume Shop Manager
Sofia Perez is a Mexican costume designer the Costume Shop Manager. She was given her first chance for costume design in 2017 during her undergraduate years, and she has been making art ever since. She graduated with a BFA in Stage Management from the University of Texas - El Paso in 2019, and an MFA in Costume Design from the University of Connecticut in 2022. Lydia by Octavio Solis, directed by Kim McKean (2017), was Sofia’s first design opportunity and she was awarded the SILV Award for Excellence in Technology & Design for this design competing at KCACTF Region 6 (2018).
Lately she had the pleasure to design the costumes for Connecticut Repertory Theatre: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time directed by Kristin Wold (2020); Pericles, Prince of Tyre directed by Raphael Massie (2021); and Food for the Gods written and directed by Nehprii Amenii.
