Our Mission

APAMSA serves as a forum for student leaders to engage these health issues and develop initiatives and projects addressing those needs. The local, regional, and national activities of APAMSA aim to promote the health of the AANHPID (Asian American, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and Desi) community and help healthcare workers understand how to care for AANHPID patients in a culturally sensitive manner.

Services Provided

This organization will serve as a forum for student leaders to engage health issues and develop initiatives and projects addressing those needs. Events will be held that help students understand how to care for AANHPID patients in a culturally sensitive manner. APAMSA provides an important venue for medical students to meet, exchange experiences, and develop personally and professionally through leadership and service.

Tentative Schedule for 2024-2025

1. Intro Meeting- This meeting will take place early Fall Semester of 2023 where we will introduce the executive members and discuss the mission of our club. We will also provide snacks and do different activities to help us get to know each other better.
2. Eastern Medicine Event - This would take place mid-Fall semester. It would involve talking about Eastern medicine practices and how they relate to the DO philosophy.
3. Holiday Potluck- This will take place around the end of the Fall semester. We will encourage group members to bring a dish from their culture to share and enjoy with others.
4. Bone Marrow Drive- Fall & Spring
