Two Grey Hills is a regional style of Navajo weaving that became recognized in the early 20th century for extremely fine tapestry weavings with geometric patterning made of natural handspun wool in blended shades of brown, tan, gray, white, and black. This exhibition features a small selection of weavings by master Navajo weavers from the 1970s and 1980s, as well as a “pre-regional” 1910 weaving from the Edwin L. and Ruth E. Kennedy Southwest Native American Collection, and recent 21st century additions to the permanent collections of Kennedy Museum of Art.
