Ohio University has unveiled a new, online resource that provides easy access to information about OHIO’s high-quality, affordable college education, available anytime, anyplace.
The new web page at ohio.edu/online
prominently features the University’s online undergraduate and graduate offerings, which have grown to comprise more than 46 percent of the institution’s overall enrollment when including students that attend one or more of their courses online. The page highlights the University’s track record of success in online education and makes clear OHIO’s commitment to supporting students in their success, including through OHIO Online.
“OHIO Online offers a dynamic, interactive learning environment that allows our students to truly explore their potential. Through our online programming, more students are afforded the opportunity to engage with faculty in more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs,” said Ohio University’s senior vice provost for instructional innovation, Dr. Bradley Cohen .
“OHIO Online makes it possible for more students to achieve their goals, and as we continue to expand our offerings, this new web resource makes finding those programs even simpler.”
Through OHIO Online, students can choose from six online associate’s degree programs, 10 Bachelor’s degree completion programs, or more than 30 online graduate programs. While most programs are entirely online, others are offered in a flexible or hybrid format, including a combination of online courses, print-based courses, or independent learning courses. All of the programs, Cohen points out, leverage the same high-quality faculty and benefit from the University’s overall commitment to student success.
“Many of OHIO’s online programs have been recognized as the best in the nation, and we are proud to be a leader in this area,” said Ohio University President Dr. M. Duane Nellis. “We are dedicated to offering an affordable, world-class educational experience for the nearly 8,000 students who pursue coursework and degrees through OHIO Online, and we look forward to continuing to grow and expand.”
