Ohio University’s Division of Research, Office of Information Technology, and Division of Finance are hard at work preparing for the introduction of the Sponsored Projects module , part of OHIO’s new electronic research administration software, Cayuse.
Slated to replace the current Service Center, Transmittal, and Award processes in the LEO system, the Sponsored Projects module is facing challenges that have necessitated a delay in its implementation until the early Fall 2024 semester.
To ensure a smooth transition to Cayuse and to enhance the experience for researchers, project staff are devoting additional time to thoroughly test the system to ensure it matches or improves upon the quality of the current researcher's experience.
One of the key tasks in this transition is transferring legacy and active proposals data from LEO to Cayuse.
Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the data transfer has proven to be more time-consuming and intricate than initially anticipated. As a result, project staff have made the decision to delay the launch of the Sponsored Projects module.
For more information about Cayuse and its modules, including the Sponsored Projects module and details about the transition process, individuals are encouraged to visit OHIO’s Cayuse Research Administration Software webpage.
