So much to do: Moms Weekend 2024
From zip-lining to tea with President Gonzalez, OHIO Moms Weekend was packed with great activities hosted across campus.

Athens campus was packed April 5-7 with students and their visiting moms, who might have had a hard time choosing from the wide array of programming designed to maximize their family weekend experience.
Friday kicked off with zip-lining and a ropes challenge course at the Ridges—one of many active options that continued throughout the weekend. Several creative activities were available too: The Center for Student Engagement and Leadership hosted the “Commuter Moms Weekend Craft-tacular Afternoon” in Jefferson Hall, where commuters and their moms could enjoy snacks while making a canvas masterpiece. Across campus in the Living Learning Center oval, Housing and Residence Life hosted a “paint and sip” event. To end the evening there were the Mom’s Weekend showings of "Mamma Mia!" at the Athena and a Moms Weekend campfire at the Ridges.
Saturday morning started out sunny and bright with the Moms Weekend “UniversiTea” event with President Lori Stewart Gonzalez at the Academic Engagement Center.
Hosted by the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership, the event offered families a chance to chat with President Gonzalez over tea, coffee and pastries.
Families also seized the opportunity to catch up with each other and get to know their students' friends from across campus.
Latitude 39 hosted a “Save the Glass Brunch and Lunch,” which offered a free glass to the first 500 patrons. The long-awaited University Program Council Q&A with "Dance Moms" stars Christi Lukasiak and Kelly Hyland took place in Baker Ballroom on Saturday afternoon. The celebration continued at the Bob Wren Stadium as the Bobcats took on Western Michigan for OHIO’s Mom’s Night Out baseball game, with a trucker hat giveaway earlier in the day promoting mental health advocacy through Morgan’s Message .
The Center for Entrepreneurship hosted the Startup Market at the Co-Lab on Saturday afternoon.
Families browsed products from local and student entrepreneurs.
After a day of fitness, networking and browsing, families could spend Saturday night at a performance by comedian Hannah Berner at the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium.
The weekend closed out with a day paddle event at Dow Lake on Sunday morning and a bouquet-making event early on Sunday afternoon in Baker Center.
As always, Mom’s Weekend fitness programming featured outdoor yoga and classes at Ping Recreation Center, including the Mom’s Weekend cycle, cardio dance and F45 training events, which students and their moms could participate in throughout the day on Saturday. If fitness classes didn’t sound like their style, students could also join Outdoor Pursuits on a day hike through Conkles Hollow.
