Choosing accessible technology

Technology plays a crucial role in education and work, but not all digital tools are designed with accessibility in mind. Choosing accessible technology from the start helps ensure that everyone—including people with disabilities—can fully engage with digital content, systems, and tools.

All Ohio University faculty and staff are invited to join the OHIO Digital Accessibility Network (OHIO-DAN) for its March session to learn how accessibility fits into the procurement process. The discussion will cover why accessible purchasing matters, key guidelines and requirements, and practical habits to help you make better choices when selecting technology.

The March session will be held on Thursday, March 27 at 4 p.m. on the OHIO-DAN MS Teams channel.

By making informed decisions, OHIO faculty and staff can create a more accessible digital experience across campus.

All Ohio University employees are invited to join OHIO-DAN and connect with a network of faculty and staff committed to making digital spaces more accessible.
