Ohio University’s Office of Information Technology (OIT), is conducting a strategic review of OHIO’s lecture capture and video tools, including Panopto and VoiceThread .
The current lecture capture contract with Panopto, which the University has leveraged for nearly 12 years, ends in 2026. This review, aligned with the Dynamic Strategy's Learn pillar , will help identify the appropriate multimedia solutions to meet the needs of OHIO faculty and students.
The Lecture Capture Evaluation Project includes the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) in April 2025.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to share their lecture capture insights via a short seven-question Lecture Capture Tool Use at Ohio University survey by Feb. 23.
