Dear LUKAS Nelson Ticket Buyer,
We would like to first thank you for your patience during this unusual and trying time. No one expected the dramatic impact COVID-19 would have on the Arts and Theater industry, let alone the society as a whole.
We continue to work closely with Lukas Nelson's manager and agent to reschedule the performance for sometime next year. The artist remains interested in rescheduling the tour when information about the impact of COVID-19 becomes clearer (see note from artist below). As we are uncertain when those plans can be finalized, we are refunding all purchases to the original payment type. If there are any issues with your refund, a ticket office manager will be in touch.
Please note that our ticket vendors are experiencing a high volume of requests nationwide and we appreciate your patience during this process. We anticipate it taking approximately two weeks to process the refund. If you do not see a refund or are not contacted by a ticket office manager by May 28, 2020, please email performingarts@ohio.edu .
Thank you again for your patience and we can't tell you what your patronage means to us.
OU Performing Arts & Concert Series
Note from Artist:
To all our fans.
In the interest of public health and safety, and after many attempts to try and reschedule the shows that were meant to play in March/April to a workable timeframe later this year, it is with deep regret that we have to now officially cancel the tour.
We had hoped to reschedule all the shows at a later time frame this year but given the ongoing situation, it has become clear that this is not possible yet as we do not have enough information to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
We hope to be back out on the road at the earliest possible time once we are confident that it is safe for both fans and concert staff.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon and until then please stay healthy and safe!
Love,
POTR
Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real:
The Naked Garden Tour
For ten years running, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real—bassist Corey McCormick, drummer Anthony LoGerfo, percussionist Tato Melgar, and multi-instrumentalist Logan Metz—have been crossing the globe, playing thousands of shows as one of the most talented, in-demand rock and roll ensembles working today. In song after song, on stage after stage, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real have sharpened the edges of their singular sound, straddling rock and roll, country, soul, folk and R&B. An emergent and vital force in American music, their latest album, the critically acclaimed Turn Off The News (Build A Garden), was released in June 2019, and planted itself at #1 on the Americana album chart for 10 consecutive weeks.
In the past year alone, the quickly rising quintet have been wowing audiences and gaining fans with their headlining tour and blistering television performances, and have turned in star-making sets at major festivals including Stagecoach, Newport Folk Festival, New Orleans Jazz Fest and dozens of shows as part of Willie’s traveling Outlaw Music Festival.
