University Notification and Assistance
In the untimely event of a student death, the main point of contact for the University is the Office of the Dean of Students. We serve as the campus liaison for families, friends, and the OHIO community and will notify all appropriate people and departments on campus of the student death. In addition, our support may also include:
- Organizing grief support for impacted students
- Providing guidance and resources for families of students
- Assist grieving students in exploring academic flexibility and options
If you are made aware of the death of a current Ohio University student, please notify the Office of the Dean of Students by completing the form below. It is helpful if you can also provide the names of friends or close connections at Ohio University who may need support as a result of this death.
