Graduate Diabetes Certificate

The Diabetes Certificate is a 9-credit hour program that provides a unique opportunity for graduate students to learn about diabetes from a multidisciplinary perspective. The certificate includes a set of three core courses: Diabetes: From Bench to Bedside, Trends in Diabetes, and an independent study course. Through this certificate, students gain invaluable experience through service learning, clinical or research experiences.

This certificate can be added onto a current gradate program or be taken as a stand-alone certificate. Please contact the certificate coordinator for additional details on this.

Please note:

  • An I-20 cannot be issued based on admission to this program alone.
  • This course provides a broad overview of all aspects of diabetes. It is not designed as a study program for the exam to become a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist ® (CDCES®).
