Mission
The mission of the School of Applied Health Sciences and Wellness is to provide distinctive programs that integrate theory, research, and practice. The programs foster the development of successful graduates that enhance health, wellness, and quality of life through prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Student Organizations
Exercise Physiology ClubThe OHIO Exercise Physiology Club is a student-led organization that focuses on the education of its members regarding the field of exercise physiology and related professions. The goal is to create unity among its members and to promote health and wellness that will benefit both Ohio University and the Athens community. The club participates in numerous philanthropic events such as the Athens Marathon, Race for a Reason, Special Olympics, Quad Rugby, and many more. The club also offers opportunities such as certifications, conferences and research involvement to the members.

Athletic Training Student OrganizationThe purpose of Student Athletic Training Club is to help promote the profession of Athletic Training. This task will be completed through education, community service, building professional relationships with social events, and professional development within state, regional, and national AT organizations. This organization is open to both undergraduate pre-major students and master’s degree athletic training students.

Ohio University Student Nutrition ClubThe purpose of nutrition club is to help promote nutrition awareness throughout campus and surrounding communities by providing service for nutrition-related activities; to provide information to all interested students about the dietetic profession; and to encourage professional development among members.

Diabetes Outreach Support and Education for Students (DOSES) Ohio University Chapter of the College Diabetes Network Ohio University Chapter of the College Diabetes Network is a student organization whose mission is to make Ohio University the most diabetes-friendly campus. Students with or without diabetes are welcome.
