Program Overview

The modern language programs for educators include French and Spanish. These programs prepare students to become foreign language teachers with licensure in the state of Ohio. To receive a teaching license students must complete the following program, earn passing scores on state licensure exams and a Teacher Performance Assessment, and pass oral and written proficiency exams. The program is aligned with national standards and prepares future teachers who help students develop cultural understanding and fluency in modern languages as well as the skills and competencies necessary for active and informed citizenship.
