Program Overview
The certificate in Islamic studies enables motivated undergraduate students to gain knowledge of the Islamic religion and the diverse cultures and societies that it has influenced. It provides a curricular framework that integrates the study of Islam and Muslim cultures and subcultures.

Opportunities Upon Graduation
The certificate would help students in world religions, international studies, history, geography, political science, etc. enter graduate programs or careers connected with the Near East, Africa, and South and Southeast Asia.

Certificate Hours Requirement
The Islamic studies certificate program requires a minimum of 15 hours.
