Program Overview
The Film Division offers a film minor for undergraduate students majoring in other fields, but who wish to expand their knowledge of film.
Admissions Information
Freshman/First-Year Admission
No requirements beyond University admission requirements, but see Change of Program Policy for further information.
Change of Program Policy
Admission into the film minor requires that you have a 2.5 or better GPA. In order to receive approval from the Artistic Director, Film Division, please provide a current copy of your DARS report, along with the Update of Program form which the Artistic Director will sign after verifying that you have an appropriate GPA.
External Transfer Admission
No requirements beyond University admission requirements.
Opportunities Upon Graduation
Students with a minor in film could expect to have their subsequent education and careers enhanced by a knowledge of film analysis, film history, film theory, filmmaking, and screenwriting.

Complete two of the following courses:
- FILM 2010 - Introduction to Film: History of World Cinema Credit Hours: 4
- FILM 2020 - Introduction to Film: Film Analysis Credit Hours: 3
- FILM 2030 - Introduction to Film: The Documentary Credit Hours: 3

- FILM 3150 - Film Studies 1 Credit Hours: 3
- FILM 3160 - Film Aesthetics Credit Hours: 3

Complete 12 additional credits of FILM courses.
