Program Overview

The Studio Art minor is designed for students majoring in other fields who want to expand their knowledge of the history, theory, and practice of studio art. Students have the opportunity to focus their program by enrolling in six studio courses, or to divide their time between a blend of studio and art history courses. If a student chooses to focus fully on studio courses, they should consider selecting courses in one area (Ceramics, Graphic Design, Interior Architecture, Painting + Drawing, Photography + Integrated Media, Printmaking, or Sculpture + Expanded Practice) so that they meet the requisites for 3000-level studio courses in that area.

Additional advising information can be obtained in the School of Art + Design office, 528 Seigfred Hall.
