Program Overview
The marketing minor will allow students with complementary skills and interests to gain specific knowledge and experience leading to a more rounded education and increased employability. The program will provide students with the foundation they need in the discipline with three required courses: Marketing Principles, Consumer Marketing, and Professional Selling. Students will also be able to pursue a specialization or interest by selecting two electives. The minor totals 15 hours, and at least 12 hours will be at the 3000/4000 level. Interest in a marketing minor has consistently been expressed by faculty and students in degree programs across campus, including most schools in the Scripps College of Communication .

The marketing minor will help students as they pursue careers within their chosen disciplines or positions outside their disciplines in sales, marketing research, retailing, integrated marketing communications, logistics, services marketing, and a variety of management training programs.
