Program Overview
The development of a project management strategy is central to the success of the modern corporate enterprise. It is very likely that many Ohio University graduates will participate in the execution of projects within their respective companies. It is reasonable to assume that they will be members of strategic or tactical project teams within their company within several years of graduating from Ohio University. This certificate will couple a project management course with general management courses and other complementary courses to provide the student with exposure to the skills that are required to be an effective project manager. This project management certificate is intended to supplement students of any major who are currently enrolled in any program at Ohio University and who wish to enrich their project management skills.

Opportunities Upon Graduation
A variety of job titles in the current day market in various sectors has “project” as a prefix and expect the applicants to have specific project management skills. This certificate will improve the students marketability in terms of seeking jobs to fill such positions. Also the job market in general considers project management to be a preferred skill possessed by job seekers.

Certificate Hours Requirement
The Project Management Certificate program requires a minimum of 16 hours to complete.

Complete one of the following courses:
- CE 2010 - Civil Engineering Computational Techniques Credit Hours: 3
- CS 2400 - Introduction to Computer Science I Credit Hours: 4
- ET 2100 - Engineering Programming Credit Hours: 4
- ETM 1030 - Enterprise Computer Methods Credit Hours: 3
