Program Overview
The Real Estate Pre-Licensure Certificate program of study addresses the growing demand for individuals who possess knowledge of the real estate industry. The demand for capacity in this field is expected to rise as the field continues to grow. The courses in the certificate offer students the opportunity not only to prepare for the Ohio Real Estate Salesperson’s License exam but also to supplement an existing major with the tools necessary to be successful in the world of real estate.
Sucessful completion (C or better in each course) of this certificate program (including satisfactory seat hours for each REAL course) fulfills the educational requirements a student must complete in order to sit for the State of Ohio’s Real Estate Salesperson’s License exam. Students who complete the certificate are prepared for eligibility to become real estate agents and may progress to become investors or brokers. Please refer to the Ohio Department of Commerce website for detailed requirements.
