Requesting a Blackboard organization

Description

A Blackboard organization (e.g. Human Resources Operations Certificate) is a space for groups who are not associated with an academic course. Enrollment is managed manually by the creator.

Mac, PC, Mobile app, Web browser, etc

Solution 

As Ohio University transitions to  Canvas , we will no longer create non-credit spaces (such as organizations, test courses, or manually created courses) in Blackboard, except in rare cases with  approval from OIT Canvas admins . Instead, we recommend the following alternatives: 

• Canvas  for orientation and placement testing
• Microsoft  OneDrive  and  SharePoint  for file sharing 
• Microsoft  Teams  and  Outlook  for communication
• Bobcat Connect  for student organizations
• Vector LMS  for mandatory training

If you have an existing organization and would like to add or remove users, submit a request on the Learning Management System: Blackboard  page, selecting the Add Users detail.
