Deleting courses and organizations in Blackboard Original (Instructors)

Description

Instructors can request to delete courses and organizations in Blackboard.

Environment

PC and Mac

Request to delete a course

To request the deletion of an archived course, test course or manually created course, a current Ohio University faculty/staff member enrolled as an instructor in the course may  contact the IT Service Desk  with:  

  • Subject:Request to Delete Blackboard Course 

  • Blackboard Course ID(For Example, MATH_1000_001_LAB_SPRG_2010-11) 

  • At a minimum, include: Subject [MATH], Course Number [1000], Term it was taught [Spring of 2010-11] 

  • OHIO IDof the instructor

Outcome:You will now have initiated the deletion of your course.

Request to delete an organization

To request the deletion of an organization, a current Ohio University faculty/staff member enrolled as a leader in the organization may  contact the IT Service Desk  with:

  • Subject:Request to Delete Blackboard Organization 

  • Blackboard Organization IDor Organization Name

  • OHIO IDof the instructor 

Outcome:You will now have initiated the deletion of your organization.
