Description

OIT offers domain name registration and  Domain Name System (DNS)  management for websites which are not part of the primary ohio.edu domain. This includes new domain names and the transfer of domain names previously purchased through another registrar.

Who can request

  • Domain names are available to faculty and staff for official University use and require approval from the Service Owner and University Communications and Marketing.

  • This service offering is not available for course materials, personal use such as a personal portfolio of work, or a personal website. This service offering is not available to students or student organizations.

  • Premium domains and aftermarket domain name purchases are not eligible.

  • Contact the Technology Help Center or submit a ticket (click the "create ticket" button on this page).
