Please forward to any student groups/organizations that may have Student Veterans involved, as we still do not have access to all Veterans emails and would like to reach them. Student Veterans, Tonight, Tuesday March 30th we will meet in Bentley 015 at 8 PM. The main topic will be a discussion for issues to bring forth to Senator Sherrod Brown. He has invited representatives from our group to attend a Senate Veterans Committee Hearing in Cambridge Ohio this Monday, April 5th. Excerpt from an email I received, statement made by his aide. "He will be hearing testimony from witnesses regarding access to benefits for Appalachian Veterans. Any witnesses who will be testifying will be formally invited to do so by the committee, however it is incumbent upon our office make suggestions as to who those people should be. When we spoke on Friday you indicated there were several younger Veterans who had taken on roles as leaders of support groups. I would appreciate the opportunity to talk with one or more of them about providing testimony at the hearing. If you would provide contact information for those you consider would best represent the concerns of the OU Veterans, I would be most grateful. " Invite all Veterans you know, this is a important task and great opportunity for our Student Veterans at Ohio University Respectfully, Michael J.
