One "way to go" or "great job" can make someone's day! It is not just a nice thing to do when we recognize someone or an organization each year at the ORA Annual Training Conference. It is an effective way to communicate our appreciation for the efforts and successes of those who serve or work in the field of rehabilitation. Each year we are moved, sometimes to tears by the presentations given recognizing someone who has overcome incredible odds, who has provided compassionate and professional service to individuals, or whose company has reached out and given those with disabilities the tools to be self-sufficient. Such recognition is motivating and energizing. It reinforces what each of our members do on a daily basis as being meaningful work.
