Attached is an updated draft of the Unit's Conceptual Core. The Conceptual Core is essentially a set of agreed-upon principles that must guide and shape our curriculum, performance and accountability. It expresses our values and provides a shared frame of reference to guide us in the preparation of leader-educators, practitioners and human service professionals. I invite to read it and share with supervisors, employers, and others.

Dear CEHS faculty and staff:

Attached is an updated draft of the Unit's Conceptual Core. Please share with your students, colleagues, community members, P-12 partners and higher education partners. The electronic version is being supplied so that you can make them available to your students and community partners in the fall.

The attached brochure provides details about each tenet of the Conceptual Core, along with a brief history describing its development.  As the brochure states, our Conceptual Core "informs the process by which we develop and articulate our goals, and helps to ensure that administrators, faculty, P-12 partners, higher education partners and our candidates are working toward a common framework," so it is vitally important that this message reach those audiences.

The Conceptual Core is essentially a set of agreed-upon principles that must guide and shape our curriculum, performance and accountability. It expresses our values and provides a shared frame of reference to guide us in the preparation of leader-educators, practitioners and human service professionals.
