Thank you. Rehabilitation Services: Assistant or Associate Professor (one, possibly two positions, both tenure track; starting September 1, 2011). The B.S. Program in Rehabilitation Services was established in 1971. It prepares students for graduate school and for careers in human services, including mental health, health professions, and related fields, with particular attention to the needs of people with disabilities. The program enrolls over 100 full-time majors, and is growing. Twenty students per year from Guangxi Medical University in China will complete their third and fourth years of study in rehabilitation services at UMF starting in Fall 2012. Primary responsibilities include: teaching introductory and upper level courses in rehabilitation services within a C.O.R.E. registered B.S. Program, supervision of field placements, advising, research and scholarly contributions to the field, and campus and community service. Standard teaching load is 3:3. Opportunities for graduate teaching through collaborative relationships in the University of Maine System may be available. Faculty are encouraged to collaborate with colleagues in other departments and expected to work closely with local and state social service agencies to ensure meaningful field-based experiences for students. Required: Ph.D., Rh.D., or Ed.D. in Rehabilitation (exceptional ABDs will be considered at Instructor rank); demonstrated interest in teaching and scholarly activity; strong commitment to interdisciplinary and collaborative endeavors. Applicants must possess or be eligible for a C.R.C. Experience in distance education preferred.
