Marty Jencius, PhD Associate Professor of Counseling Kent State University Counselor Education in Second Life ------------------------------------------------- Play Therapy Training Dr. Julie Robinson & Dr. Jill Packman January 21, 2011 (10 AM - 2 PM EST) AND January 28, 2011 (10 AM - 2 PM EST) (7am-11am SLT) A two-day play therapy training workshop is being held in the Second Life virtual world on January 21 and January 28, 2011 from 10 am to 2 pm (EST) at the Counselor Education in Second Life center (SLURL Tranquil 180, 170, 30). The Second Life environment will allow attendees to be part of the workshop with their avatar through the convenience of their desktop computer. On January 21st participants will learn the skills of child-centered play therapy. On January 28th participants will be given the opportunity to receive live supervision while playing "inworld" with a child avatar. The workshop is free of charge but limited in space to the first 25 registrants. To register for the workshop you must: 1. Have a registered Second Life avatar. You will be asked for your registered SL avatar name as part of the workshop registration.
