DIRECTOR OF CENTER AND SCHOLAR ON BULLYING PREVENTION.

Faculty Position - Open Rank
The Graduate School of Education (GSE) at the University at Buffalo, invites applications for a tenure-track position focusing on the area of bullying prevention and school-related violence.  We seek a director for the newly established Dr. Jean M. Alberti Center for the Prevention of Bullying Abuse and School Violence. In addition to conducting and disseminating research and other faculty responsibilities, the director will interact with P-12 schools and other organizations in the region to promote the prevention of bullying.  It is expected that in the first year of this appointment, the primary focus will be on directing the center.

The position currently resides in the Department of Counseling, School, and Educational Psychology but the Director will also participate in collaborative research within GSE, other schools and departments at UB, as well as with other universities as appropriate.     Depending on the qualifications and preferences of the candidate, the Director could be housed in any of the four GSE departments.  The successful candidate will meet, or show promise to meet, the criteria for tenure at a Research I university.
