Show, by your actions, that you choose peace over war, freedom over oppression, voice over silence, service over self-interest, respect over advantage, cooperation over competition, action over passivity, diversity over uniformity, and justice over all.

Make a Difference Grant Announcement

I am writing to announce the C-AHEAD 2010-2011 "Make a Difference" Grant for graduate student research. The grant supports graduate student research with a humanistic philosophy that will make a difference in the lives of the population under study. The awarding of the grant is based on the humanistic characteristics and quality of the project as described in the application. The grant award is for $500, plus C-AHEAD supported opportunities to promote the project and publicize the findings of the research. Honorable mention may be provided for close second ranked finalists as a way to publicize some of the unfunded, but excellent research in our field. Interested graduate students should submit electronic applications along with supporting documentation by December 1, 2010. Winners will be announced in January 2011 and the grant will be presented at the 2011 ACA Conference in New Orleans, LA.
Details of the award and applications are available at www.c-ahead.com< http://www.c-ahead.com/
>. Descriptions of the humanistic philosophy, humanistic counselors and counseling are available also at the C-AHEAD website. You are welcome to contact me with questions at jcochr11 at utk.edu
<mailto: jcochr11 at utk.edu
>. Please distribute this message and the grant announcement to all potentially interested graduate students. Thank you very much.

Very best wishes,

Jeff L. Cochran, Ph.D., NCC, LMHC
