Carrie Purdue University Assistant Professor of School Counseling Department of Educational Studies The Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University is currently accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in its CACREP-accredited School Counseling program, beginning fall 2011. Responsibilities include teaching core counseling courses, research, supervision, service, and sharing program leadership. This is a new position. The Purdue School Counseling program, a 2007 recipient of the NCACES Outstanding Innovation in Counselor Education Award, is a dynamic program with selective admissions; small, full-time cohorts; and exciting international partnerships, including an ongoing collaboration with a Dutch university. Almost all students participate in additional grant- funded professional-growth opportunities. Required Qualifications Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in Counselor Education or Counseling Psychology, preferably from an accredited program; have professional experience in P-12; and demonstrate a history of, or potential for, scholarly productivity and external funding for interdisciplinary school-based research. Candidates should be committed to comprehensive developmental programming to support academic, career, emotional, and social development in diverse populations of children and adolescents.
