AHC Call for Newsletter Articles

The Association for Humanistic Counseling (AHC, formerly C-AHEAD) is looking for articles for the newsletter, InfoChange. We are seeking articles for the Messages From The Heart, the Graduate Student Perspectives, and Humanistic Resources columns.

Messages From The Heart

The Messages From The Heart column is a place for AHC professional members to share information related to humanism. This may include articles on humanistic research, humanistic clinical practices, humanistic teaching or supervision techniques, poems, or art work. Articles could also feature a narrative about an outstanding humanistic counselor/supervisor/educator.

Submissions should be no longer than 500 words and writing should be consistent with the APA 6th edition Style Manual. Authors should clearly indicate that the submission is for the Messages From The Heart column. Questions, comments, or ideas for the column may be forwarded to the column coordinator. It is encouraged for authors to become members of AHC. Articles can be submitted the InfoChange editor, Dr. Julie Strentzsch, at jstrentzsch at stmarytx.edu

Graduate Student Perspectives

The Graduate Student Perspectives column is a place for AHC graduate students to share their humanistic perspectives. Students may write about their experiences with humanism and counselor training, humanistic research, humanistic clinical practices, humanism and how it relates to counselor development, humanism and counselor identity, and more.

Submissions should be no longer than 500 words and writing should be consistent with the APA 6th edition Style Manual. Authors should clearly indicate that the submission is for the Graduate Student Perspectives column. Questions, comments, or ideas for the column may be forwarded to the column coordinator. Assistance is available for emerging professionals with developing their article and preparing it for publication. It is encouraged for authors to become members of AHC. Humanistic Resources

The Humanistic Resources column is a place for AHC members to share information related to humanistic materials for clinical practice, supervision, counselor education, research, and more. Articles in this column can consist of reviews of online resources, humanistic books, humanistic research articles, humanistic assessment instruments, therapeutic curriculums, and therapeutic tools/games/toys.

Submissions should be no longer than 500 words and writing should be consistent with the APA 6th edition Style Manual. Authors should clearly indicate that the submission is for the Humanistic Resources column. Questions, comments, or ideas for the column may be forwarded to the column coordinator. Assistance is available for emerging professionals with developing their article and preparing it for publication. Established professionals are invited to submit articles as well. It is encouraged for authors to become members of AHC. Articles can be submitted the InfoChange editor, Dr. Julie Strentzsch, at jstrentzsch at stmarytx.edu
