Show, by your actions, that you choose peace over war, freedom over oppression, voice over silence, service over self-interest, respect over advantage, cooperation over competition, action over passivity, diversity over uniformity, and justice over all.

Subject: Call for Proposals Now Open - 2012 National Rehabilitation Educators Conference

The National Council on Rehabilitation Education is pleased to announce the “Call for Proposals “ for the 2012 National Rehabilitation Educators Conference to be held in San Francisco, California on April 11-13, 2012. The proposals are now being accepted, based on the conference theme of " Spanning Horizons: Bridging Research, Education, and Service.” The call for proposals, identifying 10 conference tracks, may be found on the following link:

- Downloadable PDF Call for Proposals: http://www.rehabeducators.org/2012_Spring_CFP.pdf
- Online Submission Form: http://www.rehabeducators.org/submit.html
You are invited to submit proposals that address the conference tracks. Please incorporate the conference theme when possible. We invite your participation in this exciting and important conference. There are several ways to participate in the 2012 National Rehabilitation Educators Conference:

The first is through concurrent session proposals. Concurrent sessions are presentations in which research, theory, critical information, practice, service delivery, and/or study findings, are conveyed to the audience. These may also include a Demonstration Session in which a presentation of processes, examples, devices, software, and/or products are shared with the audience; or a Panel Session which is a discussion involving no less than 3 speakers, addressing a topic of rehabilitation interest in front of an audience with whom the speakers interact.

The second is a Poster Session at which a poster is presented in a 90-minute poster showcase forum for professionals and students to share best practices and/or research.

The third is to register as a participant for the 2012 National Rehabilitation Educators Conference to be held in San Francisco, California on April 11-13, 2012.

I look forward to seeing and greeting all of our NCRE family and friends in San Francisco!

Warm regards!

Ken Hergenrather
Vice President, NCRE
